Grandparents Luncheon FAQs


Q. What should I wear?
A. Whatever you want.  Some people dress up and some wear their favorite NDP attire.

Q. What time should I arrive?
A. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. Arrive with enough time to park and make your way to the gymnasium by 11:00 A.M. when the program begins.

Q. Will there be valet parking?
A. Yes! We will offer complimentary valet parking to our guests that day.  This is the preferred method of parking. school will be in session, so parking in the gym parking lot will not be possible.

Q. if i choose to self park, Where should I park?
A. we encourage our guests to use valet Parking.  SELF-PARKING will be available on 98th Street for those wishing to self-park and there are A limited number of handicapped Spaces near the gym.  again, Valet is the preferred method. 

Q. Are Face masks required?
A. no. face masks are optional. please use your best judgement for your personal circumstance.

Q. What are the seating arrangements?
A. It is open seating at long tables, first come, first served (see photo below)

Q. When will my grandchild(ren) join me?
A. Students will join the luncheon at 10:35 a.m. just in time for lunch!

Q. How will my grandchild(ren) find me?
A. When you CHECK-IN under your grandchild(ren)'s name and you will receive your name tag and your grandchild(ren)'s name tag to reserve a seat for them. they will come and find you at your table.

Q. What's for lunch?
A. A Chicken salad sandwich (regular or gluten free), chips, fruit cup, and dessert will BE provided. Salads will be available for those wanting a vegetarian or different GLUTEN-FREE option.

Q. Will there be entertainment?
A. yes! our jazz ensemble and choir will regale our guests with delightful musical performances

Q. When will the event end?
A. The event ends at 1:00 p.m.

Q. Do I need to bring anything?
A. No, Just your smiling face.

Q. Will the saints store and scrip store be open?
A. yes! come and do some Christmas shopping for your ndp saints.

Q. Can my grandchild(ren) leave with me after the event?
A. Yes, once the event is over, you may leave with your grandchild(ren). The school day will be over and they are free to leave after the luncheon.

Q. will there be guided tours of the campus?
A. no. We have found that everyone is eager to leave after the luncheon to prepare for thanksgiving.
