When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of Wish Kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.

Our Wish Kid, Lucas, lives with his parents and younger sister. Lucas has cancer, and after his diagnosis, he found great comfort in his family and his love of sports. He loves golf, baseball, football, F1 racing, and NASCAR. His favorite baseball teams are the Diamondbacks and the Yankees, and his favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills!
