The Dog Pound

2026-27 Dog Pound Exec Board

The Dog Pound Student Council is our student leadership organization, dedicated to building school sprit, strengthening community, and representing the voice of the student body.

We work behind the scenes to create meaningful experiences that celebrate every aspect of student life including atheltics, fine arts, clubs and campus traditions! Leaders plan many of NDP's signature events throughout the school year, including Homecoming Week, Prom, Smiles for Christmas, Dancing with the Stars, pep rallies, spirit weeks, and other campus activities that bring the entire campus together.

Student Council members are elected by their classmates after presenting campaign speeches that outline their goals and vision for serving the student body. The council includes grade-level representatives and an Executive Board that oversees the organization and leads its initiatives. Students in grades 9-11 vote to elect the Executive Board each year. To be eligibile to run for an Executive Board position, candidates must have previously served at least one year on Student Council.

The Dog Pound is the heart of Saints spirit at Notre Dame Prep. Open to all students, the Dog Pound creates an energetic home-field advantage by cheering on our teams, participating in theme nights, and bringing excitement to athletic events throughout the year. 

Whether it's packing the stands for rivalry games or supporting our Saints through every season, the Dog Pound Student Section helps create an unforgettable game-day atmosphere while showcasing the pride and tradition of the NDP community. 

Our Mascot, Samson the St. Bernard, is always on hand to get the crowd fired up!
