Big Saints & Little Saints

Building NDP community and strength, one Freshman at a time
Big Saints are senior mentors for incoming freshmen. Each Big Saint is paired with two to four freshmen within their house, guiding them through team-building, service, athletic, and advice-based activities throughout the school year.
Big Saints play a crucial role in helping freshmen adjust to the high school life, drawing on their own experiences to inspire growth and foster a collaborative, inclusive community.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS '26-'27

The Big Saints and Little Saints program, in its current form, began in the 2024-25 school year and is facilitated by the Enrollment Office. The program is led by two seniors who head an eight-member board, selected each year by the previous year's board through an interview process and chosen by consensus.
The BSLS Board begins meeting in April and works throughout the summer to plan for the upcoming freshmen, culminating in their first introduction at the Freshman Orientation, the day before school officially begins. Previously, the program was a less formal, one-month initiative that ran during the first month of school.
