MAINTENANCE WORKER

Notre Dame Preparatory High School in Scottsdale, Arizona Maintenance Worker II is an entry-level role that performs a variety of maintenance and handyman work for the high school. They will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and cleanliness of the high school and helping to coordinate the policing of the campus grounds, in addition to light handyman work throughout the campus. This position reports to the Director of Facilities.

Job Description:

• Assure that maintenance work orders are completed in a timely fashion
• Assure that the school grounds are maintained in a clean and safe manner by mowing, watering, weeding, raking, and general trash pick-up as required
• Perform minor maintenance work throughout the high school campus as needed
• Provide assistance, as needed, for event set-up and strike
• Maintains an inventory of supplies needed for exterior maintenance and repair

 

Requirements:

• Ability to safely operate gas or electric power tools and landscaping tools
• Experience with gas and electric maintenance vehicles; i.e. golf carts, gator, tractor…
• General knowledge of care requirements for landscaping and maintenance
• Must be able to work independently
• May be required to work a slightly flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends
• Must be able to perform strenuous tasks and the ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to lift, move and use ladders safely

 

Qualifications:

• High school degree required
• Experience preferred
• Current driver’s license
• Pass Diocese of Phoenix screening and background check
