Ms. Gliatto to Spread Gospel in Zambia this Summer
On Saturday, May 27, our P.E. instructor Ms. Sophia Gliatto will leave for a four-week mission to villages in the Western Province of Zambia. "The people in these places are neglected by government aid, living without any of the luxuries of western society and most devastatingly, have never heard the name of Jesus," she said. Her group is part of a 20-person team, and they are going through an organization called Trail Missions. "We will be going from hut to hut with translators, praying for, ministering to, and sharing the Gospel with people yearning for hope and Good News," she added.
Her team will help build wells to provide clean drinking water and at the end of the trip they will "plant a church." Trail Missions has a discipleship program where they provide a Bible school for individuals from the village to train them and send them back out on their own mission.
The last thing Jesus tells us in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 is to “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”"There truly is nothing else in life more important to me than this both in the classroom and on the mission field," Ms. Gliatto said. "I know that the Lord will be faithful. I ask that you would keep my team and I in your prayers. Pray that lives would be saved and Christ would be magnified!"
