The attendance form requires a good WiFi signal and is best if filled out on a PC. The form can not be submitted from a mobile device while traveling. There are two acknowledgment boxes that, depending on the device's operating system may also show up as icons instead of boxes. Those two boxes must be checked off even if the form is not being submitted because of an illness. The form must be completed as we use that for tracking and reporting. If you experience poor WiFi, please try completing the form again on a PC.
Please be aware that any student arriving on campus after 8:00 a.m. must go to the SWEEP ROOM located in the CAFE building unless they have a doctor/dentist note with them.
The parent email used to complete this form MUST match the parent email on record in Power School. If you use a different email address, your request will not be processed.
TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS, ONLY PARENTS/GUARDIANS MAY FILL OUT THE ATTENDANCE FORM. STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO LEAVE OUR CAMPUS ONLY WHEN THEY HAVE RECEIVED AN EARLY RELEASE PASS FROM THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE.
What is an unexcused absence? Absences that are not submitted through the online attendance form are considered unexcused absences. When a student has an unexcused absence, they will not be allowed to make up the work they missed. An unexcused absence will count towards a student’s maximum of 8 absences per class per semester.
Legitimate reasons for excused absences are:
- Personal illness for 4 or more days accompanied by a doctor's note.
- Serious family illness or a death in the family.
- Representing the school at school-sponsored activities.
- On rare occasions, it is permissible for students to miss class for unavoidable conflicts in scheduling doctor’s appointments. It is expected that every effort will be made to avoid scheduling appointments during the course of the school day.
