NDP English instructor Tracey Heisler was selected to be a presenter at the EdTechTeacher Summit in Palm Springs, from Jan 29-31. Heisler will present Building a Culture of Inquiry With Visible Thinking Using Recap Queue, Journey and Video Response. Her focus is to help build a culture that values questioning and guides students towards independent research and practice.
"I am so honored to be presenting at the ETT Summit in Palm Springs this year because EdTechTeacher was my introduction to educational technology and is the reason I am passionate about using technology in my classroom," Heisler said.
ETT began in 2000 and is a resource to help educators address the challenge of preparing students for an increasingly complex and cognitively demanding world. ETT provides professional development to teachers who are dedicated to creating innovative learning opportunities for their students.
Over the past few years, they have diversified their offerings but the mission remains the same: to support educators in their quest to enrich student-learning experiences through emerging technologies.
"I am excited to learn more from presenters from all over the country, and I can't wait to bring those ideas about emerging technology back to my own students and colleagues," Heisler said. "Enhancing student learning is my #1 goal."
