NDP Swimmers Enjoy Another Successful Season

The 2017 NDP Swim and Dive Team

At the AIA State Swim and Dive Championships the NDP boys team finished in 4th place overall and the

girls finished in 6th place.

Standout swimmers for the Saints at the meet were:


Ansel Averitte - winner and State Champion in the 50 meter freestyle. He went undefeated all season in that event. Averitte finished in 4th place overall in the 100 meter breaststroke.

Averitte also anchored the 200 Medley relay to a 3rd place finish at state. The swimmers making up the 200 meter medley relay team include, Conner Markl, William Bansberg, Nick Salvino, and Averitte.

The Boys also took 3rd in the 200 meter freestyle relay. The team included Conner Markl, Nick Salvino, Payton Mueller and Ansel Averitte.

Nick Salvino made the podium as the 3rd place finisher in the 50 meter freestyle and 7th place in the 100 meter breaststroke.

Conner Markl took 6th place in the 200 meter individual medley and 7th place in the 100 meter backstroke.


Alexa Markl took 3rd place in the 100 meter butterfly and 100 meter backstroke.

Ayden Chanin placed 3rd in the 200 meter freestyle

The Saints 400 meter freestyle relay, made up of Danielle Drake, Ayden Chanin, Azrin Averitte and Alexa Markl, placed 5th.

200 meter medley relay of Alexa Markl, Emiley Lynch, Kylie Salvino, and Ayden Chanin placed 8th.
