Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laudes and Cum Laude

Class of 2019

 31 credits, GPA of 4.0 for Summa Cum Laude plus

  • Focus Seminar Honors
  • Focus Research Honors
  • Philosophy Honors
  • Argumentation and Rhetoric Honors
  • Rising seniors are considered to have met the Graduate with Distinction language requirements if they have completed a 4th level of world language at NDP. For example, if a current junior successfully completes Spanish IV, that student need not take another Spanish class to fulfill the requirement. 

GPA of 4.0 Magna Cum Laude
GPA of 3.75  for Cum Laude

Class of 2020

31.5 credits, GPA of 4.0 for Summa Cum Laude plus

GPA of 3.85 Magna Cum Laude
 

GPA will be checked for students eligible to Graduate with Distinction on March 1 (or the closest school day after). The final GPA check will occur on April 1 (or the closest school day after).

The Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the graduating class are determined by weighted grade point average beginning sophomore year through first semester of senior year. To be eligible, transfer students must be enrolled by the first semester of their sophomore year at NDP.
