Girls and Boys Golf End on High Note

It was another great season for boys and girls golf at Notre Dame Prep. From Oct 31 to Nov. 1 the two teams competed at the state championships. The girls team finished third in the state while the boys team finished fifth. "We played in the strongest section," said Shelley Dinges, head coach of the girls team. "We were ranked third all season so we finished strong." The individuals of the girls team finished in the middle of the pack and played as a team.

On the boy's team, three players finished in the top 25. Senior JJ Gresco finished 15th, freshman Dominic Wade tied for 19th and sophomore Jonathan Curran tied for 24th.

"We had a great season with a lot of young talent that showed growth over our few months together," said Carl Hess, head coach for the boy's team. "Our developmental program continues to flourish. With four underclassmen in the lineup at state, we should be ready for another run next season!"

The state championships took place in Tucson. The boys played Randolpho Golf Course and the girls played Dell Urich.
