Christian Service

Bringing Christ to the World

As a Catholic school, we challenge our students to be people of service. In light of this challenge, students are required to complete service hours during the course of each calendar year.

We hope that these practices will help develop well-rounded students, create a positive feeling toward service, and a desire to continue serving after our students graduate from NDP.

  • Logging 120 Christian services hours over four years is a graduation requirement.
  • All students will earn a Pass/Fail grade for Christian service depending on whether or not they meet the requirement.
  • We use the MobileServe platform to sign up and log Christian Service Hours. Parents MUST use their son's/daughter's login credentials to view opportunities.

Christian service hours are due:

  • November 21, 2025, for first semester
  • April 24, 2026, for second semester (April 14 for Seniors)

The annual requirements for Christian service have changed.  Each student is expected to complete 30 service hours per year. This means that some classes will be allowed to graduate with less hours because they were not under this requirement (yet). To be fair and make sure that certain classes won’t be overburdened with making up hours, the following Christian Service hour requirements will be honored:

  • Class of 2027 and beyond: 120 hours total for graduation
  • Class of 2026: 105 hours total for graduation

Earning Christian Service Hours

  • During the first weeks of school, students account will get set up by COMM staff.
  • In order to pass, the service hours must be logged on MobileServe by the deadline.
  • Additional hours will rollover, so students are able to complete hours during the summer or in less-busy semesters.

Requirements for Submission to MobileServe

  1. Supervisor Email/Signature Verification:
  • Always provide a signature and or ‘email approval’ from the supervisor of the work done
  • Another student can never be the supervisor of the hours
  • Student’s personal emails can never be the supervisor of the hours
  • Parents can almost never be a supervisor of the hours
  1. Written Portion:
