Our Catholic Identity

Faith is an integral part of life at Notre Dame Prep. As a Catholic high school, our goal is to advance the mission of Jesus Christ and to be a light for the world by forming students who embody our pillars of Reverence, Respect and Responsibility.

Our caring faculty and staff are committed to strengthening the minds, bodies and souls of our students through a vibrant faith life on campus so that they might come to believe that anything is possible for their lives in accordance with God's will. Combining faith and reason, we prepare our students for life as well as for college.

We are unapologetically a Catholic school and students from all faith backgrounds are welcome here. A diverse campus leads to great conversations and contemplation. Catholic means universal and we love all of our students, no matter where they are in their faith journey.

Our Chaplain

Fr. Ian Wintering joined the NDP community as our chaplain in 2023.

He was ordained on June 14, 2021 and spent his first two years as a priest working in Flagstaff at San Francisco de Asís Catholic School as their parochial vicar, where he served with his mentor Fr. Will Schmid.

Fr. Ian enjoyed being the "spiritual father" to the many students at San Francisco de Asís Catholic School. Now is the "spiritual father" for our students and those at Seton College Prep.

It is important to recognize the important role that Catholic schools play in our culture today. What we do here is producing fruit in our diocese, because we give students opportunities to encounter Christ during this pivotal period in their lives.
~ FR. IAN WINTERING, Campus Chaplain, 2023-24

Faith is a call to rise above who we are. We will lose sight of it now and then, but it is important to always come back to it. Always search for it during the darkest moments. Allow it to light up your life.
