Faith

Our Catholic Identity
Faith is an integral part of life at Notre Dame Prep. As a Catholic high school, our goal is to advance the mission of Jesus Christ and to be a light for the world by forming students who embody our pillars of Reverence, Respect and Responsibility.
Our caring faculty and staff are committed to strengthening the minds, bodies and souls of our students through a vibrant faith life on campus so that they might come to believe that anything is possible for their lives in accordance with God's will. Combining faith and reason, we prepare our students for life as well as for college.
We are unapologetically a Catholic school and students from all faith backgrounds are welcome here. A diverse campus leads to great conversations and contemplation. Catholic means universal and we love all of our students, no matter where they are in their faith journey.
To help our students foster a relationship with God, were offer the following:
- Monday Lunch-Time Bible Studies
- The Boat Peer Ministry, and Symposium with the Youth Ministers (Symp with the YMs) are all up and running.
- Thursday "Likert Scale" discussions where student's discuss their opinions about topics such as "It is necessary to follow the 10 commandments to live a happy life?"
Meet Our Chaplain

Fr. Dang joined our community as our new Chaplain in July, 2025.
We are excited to welcome Fr. Anthony Dang to our Saints family.
Fr. Dang is the eldest of four children in his family. A son of Vietnamese refugees, Fr. Dang grew up in Tempe and first heard his call to the priesthood at the age of 16. He was ordained on June 4, 2022 by Bishop Olmsted.
He came to us from Holy Trinity Newman Center at NAU where he has served the last two years. He loves working with young people and helping them encounter our Lord, Jesus Christ.
He is excited to get to know our NDP Community of Saints and is grateful for the welcome he received from Fr. Bona, our past Chaplain, and the seniors of 2025 at the Baccalaureate Mass.
"I can see how much you love Fr. Bona and I know that I have big shoes to fill," he said. "I can't sing like Fr. Bona, but I can dance!" he added with a jovial smile.
Catholic Education is necessary and important because it allows each student to have the opportunity to grow into the person God made them to be. The more a student integrates the gifts God has given them, the more motivated and willing he or she will be to bring peace and love to the world.
~ FR. ANTHON DANG, Campus Chaplain, 2025-present

Faith is a call to rise above who we are. We will lose sight of it now and then, but it is important to always come back to it. Always search for it during the darkest moments. Allow it to light up your life.
