The Notre Dame Prep athletic department had 131 Spring Saints student-athletes named to the Sports360AZ All-Academic teams announced this week by the website. The award recognizes all AIA sponsored Spring varsity participants with a 3.00 GPA or better.
Junior John Ruvo ran a blistering 10.69 personal-best and school record in the finals of the 100 meters at the AIA Division III State Track and Field Championships to highlight a memorable night at Desert Vista High School. He finished the meet by posting his second personal-best of the night, clocking a 21.87 in the 200 meters to place third overall by five thousandths of a second in a virtual dead heat.
