The Notre Dame Prep swimming and diving team qualified 18 participants for the AIA Division III State Championships this weekend. Diving will be contested at Brophy Prep on Thursday (prelims) and Friday (finals), while the swimming will be contested at Phoenix Country Day.
The Notre Dame Prep swimming and diving teams participated at the Small Schools Championship at Phoenix Country Day High School Saturday, Oct. 23. The girls team placed second overall in the standings behind host Phoenix Country Day School, while the boys team finished 17th. The teams combined for 12 individual and relay top-10 finishes.
The Notre Dame Prep girls swimming team swept the Holy Water meet between the local Catholic schools, defeating Seton Catholic (67-27), St. Mary’s (77-3) and St. John Paul II (83-6).
The Notre Dame Prep swimming and diving team remained undefeated in dual meets with a sweep of Sunrise Mountain (94-89), Paradise Valley (130-53) and Payson (137-4) on Thursday. The team is 7-0 on the season.
The Notre Dame Prep girls swimming and diving team posted a 124-52 victory over Mesquite at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center Thursday. The Saints won 11 events on the afternoon in the victory.
Notre Dame Prep Fall sports practices and tryouts start on August. 9. All students must be cleared in Final Forms with an update AIA physical with completed Brainbook and Opioid certifications.
