Notre Dame Prep will be represented by six student-athletes at the Arizona High School Sports Awards including girl’s basketball player Alivia Pautz, golfers Cade Anderson and Bailee Tayles, soccer’s Andrew Vines, tennis player Brooke Belitz and volleyball’s McKenna Douglas.

The Notre Dame Prep athletic department had 60 winter Saints student-athletes named to the Sports360AZ All-Academic teams announced this week by the website. The award recognizes all winter varsity participants with a 3.00 GPA or better.

The 4A West Valley champion Notre Dame Prep girls basketball team was well represented on the All-Region teams and Region honorees selected by the coaches. Senior Alivia Pautz was named the Region Player of the Year, Head Coach Dell Mims was selected the Coach of the Year and the Saints had five players on the all-region teams.

The No. 7 Notre Dame Prep girls basketball team posted a 48-22 win over No. 12 Combs (13-4) to open the AIA 4A State playoffs. Junior Charlotte Kelmon led the team with 14 points and the Saints posted a strong defensive effort to defeat the Coyotes.
