Volleyball Recognized with All-Region Accolades

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Notre Dame Prep volleyball team was well represented on the 4A West Valley Region individual and region honors announced last week. Senior Danae Pitts was the Co-Player of the Year, junior Madison White was the Offensive Player of the Year and Holly McLean was named the Coach of the Year for the 4A West Valley Region.

The Saints had 10 players on the All-Region teams led by four All-Region first-team selections including Pitts at setter, White at hitter/middle blocker, freshman Evan Hendrix at hitter/middle blocker and junior McKenna Douglas at libero.

Pitts led NDP with 518 assists for a 9.1 per set average and ranked third on the team with 117 digs and 22 aces. White was second on the team with 141 kills at a 3.7 per set rate while hitting a team-best .341. Hendrix led the team in kills with 206 for a 3.8 per set average while hitting .272, the fourth-best rate on the team. Douglas led the team with 227 digs (4.2 per set) and aces (46).

Senior Kandace Kramer was named to the All-Region second team at hitter/middle blocker. She was fourth on the team with 80 kills while hitting .295 with 19 blocks.

Notre Dame Prep also had five players earn All-Region honorable mention including junior libero Alexandra Alessio, senior hitter/middle blocker Emily Brummer, senior  Carter Gray at libero, junior Sophia Ross at hitter/middle blocker and sophomore Kennedy Graninger at hitter/middle blocker.
