Twenty One Saints Qualify for Track & Field State Tournament

We are now through 2 days of the AIA Division III Track & Field State Championship where 21 of our Saints have begun competition. 

In the Javelin, Freshman Charlie DeChant capped off his incredible first year campaign throwing 119' 4" on Saturday, May 7 and junior, Payton Riggins, threw 94' 9" on Wed. May 11. In the shot put throw, sophomore Diego Herrera-Vendrell threw 41' 5".

On the track we had many phenomenal performances; the boys 4x800m bettered their 18th seed coming into the State Meet to 11th and running their fastest time all year! Sophomore Ava Handel covered 1 mile in 5:32.63 running a new lifetime best! Many others of the 21-person contingency qualified for the state finals set for May 21 at Mesa Community college.
