Soccer Posts 7-0 Win over Peoria as McSherry Scores Five

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Senior Liam McSherry scored five goals in a 7-0 win over Peoria Monday night.

“It has been great,” said McSherry. “Putting goals in the back of the net is what we are supposed to do. We are doing it extremely well. We have not let in a goal in three games so we are on track for the rest of the season.”

McSherry, who had a hat trick on Friday, has now scored eight goals over the last two games and has 17 goals and seven assists on the season.

“It has been fun and we are looking to keep it going,” said McSherry.

NDP has out-scored their opponents 40-7 in posting 8-1 record.

“Our defense has been working extremely hard,” said McSherry. “We played three in the back the entire game and they posted a shutout. Big props to our entire back line and Brock (Narveson) for keeping the balls out of the net.”

NDP hosts St. Mary's on Friday.
