Notre Dame Volleyball Regular Season Domination Continues

Our Notre Dame Prep varsity volleyball team hosted McClintock on Thursday, Sept. 15, and won 3-0. With that victory, the Saints have now won 38 regular-season, best of five set matches in a row (not counting playoff or tournament matches).

The 38-match winning streak also included an impressive run of 21 straight matches without dropping a set. That is 63 straight sets won! This streak dates back to October 29, 2019, when our Saints topped Paradise Valley and followed with a win over Buena. After that, the Saints went on to win fourteen matches in a row in 2020, seventeen matches in a row in 2021 and have won five regular-season league matches in a row this season. Coach Holly McLean, now in her 4th season, attributes "incredibly hard work and a keen sense of what it means to be a team" as reasons why her teams have been so dominating in the regular season.

The Saints continue regular season play by hosting Casteel on Sept. 20, Higley on Sept. 22 and Cactus Shadows on Sept. 26.

We invite everyone to come watch this exciting team advance towards another successful playoff run!

Go, Saints!
