New Girls Lacrosse Coaches

Notre Dame Prep athletic director Jason Levine is pleased to announce the hiring of Tim Hevesy and Kathleen Lloyd as our new Girls Varsity Lacrosse coaches.

Coach Tim Hevesy grew up and lived on the East Coast most of his life, prior to moving to Arizona in 2018.  He graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Economics, where he was a two-sport student-athlete in football and baseball.  He was a four-year starter for the football team and was elected to the All-Ivy Team his senior year. Later, he was elected to the 125th Anniversary All-Decade team for the University.

He has coached with the Desert Stix Girls Lacrosse Program and McDowell Mountain LL since moving to Arizona five years ago. He has also coached several different teams over the course of his time with the program including a 14U Club Baseball team in the Valley. Prior to that, he was a football coach at Hamden Hall Country Day School where he led the team to two New England Prep School Championships.  He coached multiple players to full scholarships, Ivy League schools and several players to the NFL, one who will be entering the NFL Draft this year.

He is known for his tactical and technical coaching style. He aims to have his student-athletes play to a level that they did not know that they could even achieve. Hevesy and his wife Lisa have five children and they enjoy supporting them in all their academic and sporting endeavors.

Coach Tim is excited to step in and help our outstanding girls lacrosse program this season!

Coach Kathleen Lloyd grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where she attended Catholic school from 1st through 12th grades. She then went on to play Division III Lacrosse at Frostburg State University in Maryland and graduated with a degree in Health and Physical Education. Right after FSU, she started her first job at Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland in 1995 where she was the head varsity lacrosse coach, director of girls athletics, and taught lower school physical education.

Lloyd left Bullis from 2004-2007 where she coached lacrosse at the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD, but later returned to Bullis and her previous responsibilities and duties. Kathleen earned her Master's in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine in 2015.

Lloyd and her husband Ty, have been married for 27 years and he is also going to be starting at NDP in the IT Department. Their son Brenden is currently stationed at Quantico, VA, and is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. He will be heading off to Pensacola in May to learn to fly after signing an 8-year aviation contract.

Coach Lloyd says that she feels very blessed to be given the opportunity to coach at NDP. She is looking forward to meeting all of our NDP athletes, coaches, and parents, while teaching and coaching the sport she loves. She is excited to begin this next chapter of her life with our amazing NDP community! #GOSAINTS
