NDP Welcomes New Girls Basketball Coach

Notre Dame Prep athletic director Jason Levine is pleased to announce the hiring of Shaun Coleman as our new girls basketball head coach. 

Mr. Coleman was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Berkeley Senior High in Berkeley, Missouri.

Growing up, Mr. Coleman excelled in baseball, basketball, football and track (the Berkeley track and field program has been inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame). He graduated from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas where he attended on a basketball scholarship. He also ran cross country and track.

Mr. Coleman served 20 years in the United States Navy, traveling throughout the world. He has a wealth of experience coaching various levels, including men's basketball on the small college level (Southwestern Assemblies of God University - American Indian College), Phoenix College men's and women's basketball, South Mountain Community College women's basketball, the USS NIMITZ women's military basketball team, and Cortez High School girls basketball head coach/boys basketball assistant. Mr. Coleman enjoys working out, traveling, meeting different people, and experiencing different cultures.

"With his vast experience, we know that Coach Coleman will be an asset to our coaching staff here at NDP," Levine said. "We are blessed to have him here."
