SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Notre Dame Prep D1 hockey team finished the weekend with a 3-1 win over Flagstaff with senior Aiden Mickey, senior Mason Lorraine and senior Connor Shank scoring goals and senior goalie Aiden Rettke stopped 18 of 19 shots for the victory.

The Saints dropped their first game against Desert Vista on Saturday at the Chandler Ice Den. Junior Kade Gramlich had two goals and Lorraine and senior George Simon tallied goals. Rettke’s 28 saves were not enough to get the win.

The D3 team posted a 5-2 on Sunday over Flagstaff at AZ Ice Peoria. Freshman Reed Gramlich and freshman Carson Curry both tallied two goals and junior Zach Jazwin added a score. Sophomore Evan Kobley provided two assists.

The Saints also had a 5-5 tie against Desert Vista at the Chandler Ice Den on Saturday.

Scoring (goals-assists): Kade Gramlich 2-0, Aiden Mickey 0-1, AJ Fryer 0-1, Mason Lorraine 1-0, George Simon 1-0. Saves: Rettke 28.

D1 Notre Dame Prep 5, Flagstaff 2 – AZ Ice Peoria

Scoring (goals-assists): Reed Gramlich 2-0, Carson Curry 2-1, Evan Kobley 0-2, Zach Jazwin 1-0. Saves: Tryon 16.

Desert Vista 5, D3 Notre Dame Prep 5 – Chandler Ice Den

Scoring (goals-assists): Conor Gramhill 3-0, Evan Kobley 1-1, Carson Curry 1-1, Connor White 0-1. Saves: Tryon 35.
