With wins over Campo Verde, Regis Jesuit (CO) and AZ College Prep over the last two weeks to improve to 6-0, NDP Varsity Boy's Basketball is in Las Vegas this week for the Tarkanian Classic.
In the tournament's opening 72-52 win vs. C.I. Gibson HS, Saints senior Will Feagles tallied 28 points and 6 boards, while senior Bryce Quinet had 19 points and 7 assists. Senior Hayden Stebbins added 15 points and junior Sami Sabai had 7 points and 7 assists. Senior Max Rehl added 8 rebounds.
Head Varsity Boys' Basketball coach Brad Quinet shared his thoughts on the team: "We have a really good group of coachable kids. We’ve been working hard in the gym since summer, and they understand our philosophy."
He relays that everyone has a role, and if they stick to it, they’ll be successful.
"I always tell them, 'Do what you do best, and stay true to what makes you a good player.' So far, so good," he added.
After the Tarkanian Classic wraps up on Saturday, the Saints next play in the Visit Mesa Basketball Challenge, starting on December 27.
