Our Performing Arts Center

The History of the St. Catherine of Bologna Performing Arts Center

The St. Catherine of Bologna Performing Arts Center is the first part of a three phase campus expansion campaign called Our Future in Focus: Vision 2020.

We celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking and dedication of the performing arts center on Nov. 5, 2019 with Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted and former superintendent of Catholic Schools Harry Plummer. Construction began in the spring of 2020 and continued through April 2021. The doors opened for the first time to audiences on Friday, April 9, 2021 for opening night of the NDP Players' production of Little Women

After the completion of some finish work, the building was open for classes for the first time in August 2021. The 20,000-square foot building houses NDP's instrumental musical education classrooms, and choir, dance, drama and digital video studios. We have also added classes in stagecraft and set design.

The PAC is named after St. Catherine of Bologna, the patron saint of the arts.

"Trust in God and believe that alone we will never be able to do something truly good."
- St. Catherine of Bologna, Patron Saint of the Arts
It is with immense gratitude that we thank the strategic planning committee and all the donors who helped make our dream to build a performing arts center on the Notre Dame Preparatory campus a reality.  We especially want to recognize our lead donors without whom this building would not be possible. Support the Arts!

Required

We understand the importance of fostering artistic talents to become who God has created us to be. There are many saints connected to the arts, including St. Catherine of Bologna, the patron saint of the arts. It is in her spirit that we developed our Saint of Arts program to support the performing and visual arts programs at Notre Dame Prep.

Your annual membership in the Saint of the Arts program supports our mission to promote excellence and pursue holiness in our performing and visual arts.

Membership entitles you to exclusive events, complimentary performance tickets and recognition on our philanthropic wall of fame (depending on membership level) while supporting our talented students at Notre Dame Prep.
