Choir is offered as an elective and is preferably taken both semesters. Students perform at a number of school events, competitions and special celebrations in the greater community.
This treble (Sopranos/Altos only) chorus is open to female students of all grade levels and experience. Bella Voce performs repertoire from all choral genres, and performs at various school events and performances throughout the year, including Coffee House, our all-school variety show. This choir also takes part in the out-of-state tour each year, joining with the Saints Chorale regularly throughout the year for performances.

The NDP Saints Chorale is an auditioned, mixed choir of students in all grade levels that performs advanced choral literature of all genres. This 30+ member ensemble performs throughout the year at various school events and musical performances, takes part in the Jazz/Madrigal Festival in Flagstaff, AZ and also goes on an out-of-state tour each year. The most recent tour included a performance at Christ Cathedral (formerly Crystal Cathedral) as part of the Choirs of America Festival in Anaheim, CA.

Robert Heyde is the choral director at Notre Dame Prep as well as an active performer and conductor around the Phoenix valley. He served as the choral director at Scottsdale Prep for 7 years. Mr. Heyde is also the choral director at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Parish, where he has served in the musical department since 2011.
He has performed various operatic and concert roles through Saint Barnabas, the Phoenix Chorale, North Valley Chorale, Solis Camerata and Arizona State University. Mr. Heyde has served as a regional choral chair for the Arizona Music Educators Association, enjoys coaching his sons in Little League baseball and resides in Cave Creek with his wife, Stephanie, and their three young boys, Andrew, Beckham and Hudson.
Wallen to Perform With All-State Choir
NDP sophomore Lucia Wallen earned a spot in the All-State Show Choir and that festival is taking place from Jan. 25-27 at Mesa Community College. The Show choir performance is at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27. Good job Lucia!
