Digital Arts

Notre Dame Preparatory is a leading high school in digital video production, digital photography and graphic design.

Digital Video

Over the years, NDP has earned multiple awards from the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association for excellence in the following categories: video announcements, live streams, promos, animated graphics, on-camera talent, and special video projects.

Students at NDP have opportunities to gain experience in news broadcast, film cinematography and marketing promotions to begin building their reels in time for college.

Digital video classes offered at Notre Dame Preparatory range from beginner to advanced. Everyone in these classes work hand-in-hand with NDP's student-led club NDP Live! NDP Live! works with our communications and marketing department, to produce all digital promotions for NDP including: video announcements, event live streaming, promotional videos, and so much more.

NDP's St. Catherine of Bologna Performing Arts Center houses a cutting edge video studio equipped with state-of-art technology to give our students a quality digital video recording and editing experience.

NDP is blessed to have relationships with local media companies, including ABC15 KNXV to witness a live newscast.

Whether your child is picking up a camera for the first time or they are expert videographers, we encourage them to take at least one of our digital video classes. From there, we promise they will find a special area of interest throughout their four years at Notre Dame Preparatory.

Digital Photography

Our beginning and advanced digital photography classes teaches the casual photographer more about digital cameras and their components. Characteristics of the visual arts are discussed. Elements of photography are taught and applied to assignments. A digital portfolio of photographs will be developed by the end of each semester. Our students also learn how to use photo editing software to create special effects. Ethics of photojournalism is also discussed. Many of our photography students help with school events to provide photos for our marketing department.
