Cast of Little Women curtain call

Creative expression is an important component of a well-rounded academic career. NDP students are encouraged to explore the arts and are given many opportunities to display their work. The Fine Arts Department at NDP seeks to maximize the creative potential in each student by providing events for students to accept the challenge and try new artistic avenues. Art students enhance their individual creativity while collaborating and supporting each other. Through NDP's many arts programs students find their niche and discover hidden talents.

In January of 2020, we plan to celebrate the grand opening of our new performing arts center. It will be named after St. Catherine of Bologna, the patron saint of the arts. We broke ground on this soon-to-be beautiful building on Nov. 5, 2019 with the Bishop of Phoenix, Thomas J. Olmsted.

The new building will house all of our performing and visual arts classes. We offer currently offer DramaChoir, Guitar Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Dance, Painting, Drawing, Pottery, and Digital Video Production. Once the new center is built, we also offer stage design and more!

In keeping with the Catholic tradition of forming humble servants to foster God's people, our performing and visual arts students find opportunities each year, to share their talents with those in need. Our dancers perform for terminally ill children at Phoenix Children's Hospital, the Tri M Music Honor Society holds a benefit concert each year to raise money for Rosie's House, an organization that provides free music lessons and instruments to children from low-income families.
