Morgan McCoy '27 Earns 36 ACT Superscore

Notre Dame Preparatory senior Morgan McCoy has earned an impressive 36 ACT Superscore, placing her among the highest-performing ACT students.

Morgan has taken the ACT three times, earning individual composite scores of 34, 35, and 35. Through her strong performance across each exam, she earned a perfect 36 Superscore, reflecting not only her academic ability but also her preparation, persistence, and dedication to her studies.

For Morgan’s counselor, Cal Beneze, the achievement is just one example of what makes her an exceptional student and person. “In my four years of getting to know and work with Morgan, there are only a very small handful of students I've encountered in my counseling career that have shown the rare combination of innate intelligence, working ethic, punctuality, respect, growth-mindedness, optimism, and social excellence that she possesses,” Beneze said.

While the 36 Superscore is certainly an impressive accomplishment, Beneze believes the number represents something much greater. “Sure, she has earned this amazing achievement in her ACT score. However, if you truly know Morgan both as a student and a person, then you know that the score not only represents her intelligence...it is also a larger indicator of the type of dedicated human being she is.”

Morgan’s accomplishment is a testament to the hard work she has invested in her education throughout her time at NDP. Her dedication has earned the admiration of her family, teachers, counselors, administration, and the entire Notre Dame Prep community.

As she looks ahead to life after NDP, Morgan is still exploring her options for college and has not yet decided where she would like to attend. She is currently interested in pursuing Pre-Law or Mathematics, two fields that reflect her strong academic interests and diverse talents.

“I know both she and her family are extremely proud of her, as well as myself, her teachers, administration, and the NDP community,” Beneze said. “Not only proud of the outcome itself, but proud of the amount of hard work and dedication Morgan has devoted to her studies. Way to go, Morgan!”
