In its 40th year of honoring the nation’s most elite high school athletes, today Gatorade announced Whitney Reinhardt of Notre Dame Preparatory High School is the 2024-25 Gatorade Arizona Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
Gatorade Player of the Year is the top honor in high school sports, celebrating the nation’s best high school athletes for their success on the field, in the classroom and in the community. The award distinguishes Reinhardt as Arizona's best high school girls soccer player, and she joins an impressive group of alumni that spans CEOs, coaches and star athletes such as Morgan Gautrat (2010-11, Frederica Academy, Ga.), Mallory Swanson (2014-15, Mountain Vista High School, Colo.), Kennedy Fuller (2022-23 & 2021-22, Southlake Carroll High School, Texas).
The 5-foot-4 senior midfielder scored 18 goals and passed for 11 assists this past season, leading the Saints (12-6-3) to the Open Division State Tournament quarterfinals. The Conference 5A Player of the Year, Reinhardt, is a four-time All-Region selection and led Notre Dame Prep to the 2024 Conference 5A State Title. She concluded her prep soccer career with 46 goals and 23 assists.
“I am extremely blessed and grateful to receive this honor, and this wouldn’t be possible without the support of my coaches and teammates,” Reinhardt said.
Reinhardt will be playing for the University of Arizona starting in the fall of 2025.
